Lisa Swift, MSN, APRN

Lisa is a registered nurse and a board certified nurse practitioner. She was born in the Midwest, then relocated to Georgia with her family in her teens. She has lived in Gwinnett County for most of her adult years. She studied at Georgia Baptist College of Nursing, which later merged with Mercer University, where she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.

She worked for 3 years in a medical-surgical unit at Gwinnett Medical Hospital, later joining their neurosurgical team in opening its first specialized surgically department until enrolling in Emory University’s Master’s Program. She earned her degree in Adult Primary Care from American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2006.

Lisa’s interest in adult neurological diseases led her to Georgia Neurology in Atlanta for 2 years, then at Athens Neurology for an additional 6 years before joining Athens Geriatrics & Internal Medicine. She worked with the Athens office for 6 years and is now serving patients in the Monroe location.

Lisa loves spending time with her family, reading, enjoying special times in the Georgia mountains, and attending her local church.
